​James M. Chesbro is the author of the essay collection, A Lion in the Snow (Woodhall Press, 2018). His work has appeared in: The Writer's Chronicle, The Washington Post, LitHub, Zone 3, Essay Daily, The Superstition Review, Huff Post, America, The Good Men Project, River Teeth online, The Connecticut Post, Weston Magazine, The Millions, Spiritus, and Under the Gum Tree. He is the co-editor of You: An Anthology of Essays Devoted to the Second Person (Welcome Table Press, 2013).​
He holds an MFA from Fairfield University. He is the recipient of scholarships to the Virginia Quarterly Review Writers' Conference as well as Wesleyan University's Writers' Conference. ​
He lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children.
